Makerere guild race draws student attention

The race for Guild President at Makerere University is gaining momentum, with former Miss Uganda @HannahKarema and @kadondigracious among the prominent contenders.

Ms. Karema is campaigning under the slogan “Reboot the Ivory Tower,” presenting a message of renewal in student leadership. Her rival, NUP’s Ms. Kadondi, running on the slogan “No Cuddles”, is positioning herself around firmness and accountability.

The contest has sparked discussion across campus, reflecting differing student priorities ahead of the vote.

T he newly elected Speaker of Uganda's Parliament, Oboth-Oboth, has called on the public to pray for him, saying he is facing alleged witchcraft attacks aimed at undermining his leadership.
